INCREDIBLE ….. What an absolutely brilliant turn out yesterday at Mount Pleasant Pool – over 230 participants competed across the board in all the events – it was a very hot morning, and our thanks and appreciation go to Schweppes Zimbabwe and Bonaqua Still Water for keeping us all hydrated.
In addition to our Season Series and Selection events, it was also the first of the 2026-2027 Junior Schools Series with 8 schools represented by athletes doing the Trisport and TriFun distances – it was amazing to see the excitement on so many little faces and the wonderful team spirit – well done to all of the children who raced their hearts out !! Thank you to coaches and athletes from Abbeys Prep, Bryden Country School, Harare International School, Maranatha Prep School, St Johns Prep, St Michaels Presentation Primary, Springvale House School and Wise Owl Primary School – we look forward to an even bigger turnout for Race # 2 in the Series 🙂
A huge thank you to St Johns Prep for hosting the event and to all the sponsors who contributed towards all the give-aways at the finish table – medals, sweeties, yoghurt and freezits – THANK YOU ALL !!
NEXT EVENT REMINDER
The next event on our calendar is SUNDAY 1ST NOVEMBER – DUATHLON NATIONAL CHAMPIONSHIPS at Donnybrook Race Track – in addition to Championship events there are non-championship duathlon (run-bike-run) races for ALL AGES – Tots, Kidz, Sport, Fun, Fit, Supersprint and Sprint – TEAMS ARE MOST WELCOME !! There is also a Cycle Criterium on the programme.
