Pre-race day set up – it was impossible to get transport to bring all our normal equipment so thanks to Demos Koutoungos and his crew of helpers, a bare patch of ground was transformed into our race venue. Bike racks created using gum-poles and other materials on hand, rack numbers used from old stock found in the equipment storage boxes.

Race day dawned bright and sunny and a fantastic morning of events followed. Medical crews from Emras in Mutare were on site but had no work to do as there were no accidents !!
Our sincere thanks to Eastern Angling Society for allowing us to invade their venue for the past few days and a huge thank you to everyone who travelled to Smallbridge Dam and competed, spectated and supported –  it was a fantastic weekend and we hope you had a great time.
On Sunday we held the Aquathlon event that turned out to be a morning of lots of sunshine, running and swimming and fun. Gideon Benade Jnr took the honours followed by Jason Martin in 2nd place and hot on his heels was little brother Tyler Martin in 3rd place. Thank you everyone and well done to all who participated. The Results for all the races – triathlon and aquathlon can be viewed and downloaded from Results&Points.
Well done to Ryan Collett, Steph Charlton and Brenda Marchussen who were drawn as the winners in the LUCKY DRAW – our sincere thanks to Ilala Lodge, Victoria Falls Rest Camp and La Rochelle Country Resort and Spa for the fantastic prizes.
