2022 SMALLBRIDGE DAM, PENHALONGA EVENT – 9TH & 10TH DECEMBER
We are thrilled to welcome KDV Bedding as the title sponsor for the 2022 KDV Bedding Smallbridge Dam, Penhalonga Triathlon & Multisport Event taking place on 9th & 10th December. We greatly appreciate their support and look forward to a long and successful partnership. The Event details are being finalized so please keep checking your emails and the website for more details – this is going to be another fantastic Multisport weekend at one of the most beautiful venues in Manicaland at Smallbridge Dam with triathlon, duathlon, aquabike and open water swim events all taking place on Saturday 10th December. Save the date if you have not already done so – remember that accommodation is CAMPING ONLY – if you aren’t into camping please contact La Rochelle Hotel in Penhalonga who have a Triathlon Special Rate on offer for that weekend.
2022 WORLD TRIATHLON CHAMPIONSHIP FINALS ABU DHABI
Congratulations to Rick Fulton and Shaun Shelton who were appointed as Technical Officials by World Triathlon to officiate – follow the action on the World Triathlon website www.triathlon.org or the event page https://abudhabi.triathlon.org/. The races will be screened live on DSTV Channel 227 – Saturday 26th November 0700 is the Elite Women’s race and the Elite Men’s race at 1250 –
2022 TRIATHLON AFRICA CUP, KILIFI, KENYA
All the best to our Elite athlete ANDIE KUIPERS who will be travelling from the States to compete in the 2022 Africa Triathlon Cup event in Kilifi, Kenya taking place on 26th November – Andie has recovered from an injury and is fighting fit and ready to race again – a great start list in the Elite Women event so some excitint racing ahead – view the start lists here https://triathlon.org/events/event/2022_africa_triathlon_cup_diani
JUNIOR DEVELOPMENT CAMP – DAKHLA, MORROCO 4th – 10th DECEMBER
Pam Fulton (Level 2 World Triathlon Coach) who has been appointed by World Triathlon as one of the Head Coaches at the 2022 Dakhla Development Camp taking place in Morocco from 4th – 10th December 2022. Pam has extensive experience as a Head Coach having facilitated and participated in Junior development camps in Zimbabwe, South Africa and Egypt.
TOUR TREASURER APPOINTED
Congratulations to HELEN MITCHELL who has been appointed as Tour Treasurer for the remainder of the 2022-2023 season. Helen replaces Mrs Keitha Taylor who stepped down from this post as she is leaving Zimbabwe at the end of the year.
NEXT EVENT AT MOUNT PLEASANT – 27th NOVEMBER 2022
Full house of events on the programme for the 27th November – SELECTION RACE # 4 for the Juniors and Youth – nearing the halfway stage of the selection process and those points are extremely important so please all make sure you participate.
Points for the season series are also up for grabs as well as points in the Corporate Team Series. In addition to the Triathlon, Duathlon and Aquathlon events there will also be an AQUABIKE (swim – bike) race over the SPRINT distance
