Update from Coach Pam
An exciting day for Triathlon Zimbabwe in the Individual ladies and men’s events.
Our ladies started racing at 10am and the men at midday in 28 degree humid heat and 25,5 degree water.
Laurelle had an amazing come back to triathlon by winning the silver medal after an exceptionally gutsy performance and Andie continued her excellent performance winning the bronze. They had the perfect race scenario whereby they could work together on the bike to catch the leader, so it all came down to the run.
The men’s event had a fierce field of elites, U23 elites and top U19 boys.  Unfortunately things did not go to plan for Matt and it just was not his day.  Jordyn, the youngest of our team, had an excellent race and thoroughly enjoyed himself.  So proud of every one of you. You gave your absolute all out there today.
Thank you to those who came to support us out there, it makes a huge difference to our athletes.
Mixed Team Relay event tomorrow (Sunday) – Go Team Zimbabwe !!!
